Book Recommendations From My Kids
I asked my kids what were their favorite books that they read this year. If your children are older, they might like these too:
My oldest son (age 13) loved the Beyonders Trilogy by Brandon Mull an adventure series that follows the non-stop action and thrills of two young protagonists:
My second son (age 12) loved The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster a funny story that shares the adventures of a young man transported to another world which is opposite of the dull life he left behind:
My oldest twin daughter (age 10) loves mermaids and secretly wants to be a mermaid. As such, she devoured the Emily Windsnap series by Liz Kessler which tells the “tail” of the half-mermaid, half-human, Emily Windsnap:
My youngest twin daughter (age 10) loved The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles by Julie Andrews Edwards (yes, that Julie Andrews) so much that she read it twice. And that was after we had read it as a family:
What are you getting your twins this holiday season? Share in the comments below (we promise not to tell them)!
