7 Weeks Pregnant with Twins

Here’s what to expect when you are 7 weeks pregnant with twins:

Fetal Development

By 7 weeks in the twin pregnancy, each of your twins will be about 0.5 inches long (13 mm) from crown to rump. Each baby is about the size of a blueberry.

Your twins’ hearts are starting to pump blood through the body and their livers are producing blood cells.

Some symptoms at this stage include clothes starting to get tight and frequent trips to the bathroom.

Dad’s Thoughts

You’re still so early in the pregnancy that you might have just found out you were having twins this week. You can’t believe that the positive pregnancy test has turned into twins. Your wife is having typical pregnancy symptoms on the outside (morning sickness, swings in appetite, etc.) but there are no outward signs that she’s carrying twins.
